Product Care
We created this guide as a thoughtful companion to help you care for your Folklore pieces with love. With just a few simple habits, you can extend the life of your garments and reduce the water, energy, and stress used in the process. Our collections are made with natural fibers and traditional techniques—so caring for them is also a way of honoring the hands and stories behind each piece.
Your garments are made from 100% cotton fibers and lovingly handmade. At first, the fabric may feel a bit crisp, but with every wash, it softens beautifully.
Because each piece is entirely handmade, no two are exactly alike. Subtle variations are part of what make them so special—each one truly one of a kind.
WASH
machine wash gentle cycle/ cold water
As a mom, I know handwashing isn't always realistic- so rest assured, our pieces are machine washable. That said, please use the gentle cycle with cold water.
Be sure to never use bleach or Woolite, these could seriously damage the clothing.
DRY
hang dry
After washing, simply hang to dry for best results.
FINAL TOUCHES
Once dried you can steam or fluff in your dryer on its own or with a small towel.
If you notice any loose threads you can snip those with scissors, DO NOT pull them, as this could and probably will damage the garment.
